The library's collection is fully automated, and accessible to the public. Patrons can search for all library materials, including books, magazines, videos and music on the Library's computers. Two computers are dedicated to searching of the Library Catalogue.
Remote access is available so that users can search the catalog, renew materials, and place holds on materials.
In partnership with Industry Canada's Community Access Program, the Library provides free public access to the Internet and word processing. Children that are 12 and under require a parent's or guardian's permission to use the Internet.
Members may have up to one hour of computer time each day, while non-members are allowed one-half hour per day. Printing is available for a small charge.
Services are available for users to print, photocopy, & send outgoing faxes at reasonable rates.
Library users can access the Trail Hotspot through the City of Trail's free highspeed wireless internet service.
A grant from the Columbia Basin Trust has allowed the Library to develop genealogy resources. The grant has allowed the library to purchase a microfilm reader/printer and resources like British Columbia Census information on microfilm. The Library's website contains many links to genealogy resources on the Internet.
Interactive, educational programs are available on computers located in the children's area. Children are able to experience up to one hour on these Early Literacy Stations. Very young children must be supervised by an adult.
