HOME IMPROVEMENT REFERENCE CENTER: Learn to fix a leaky tap

To access the Home Improvement Reference Center, you will need to have your library card number ready. This site caters to the DIY enthusiast or someone who wants to undertake a minor home repair.

  1. From your browser, go to http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,url,cpid,uid&custid=s8920164&profile=hirc
  2. Type in your Patron ID (Library Card Number), and click Login.
  3. From the Category area, click Plumbing.
  4. To fix a leaky kitchen tap, click Kitchens. A list of kitchen plumbing subjects displays.
  5. From this list, click Sinks & Faucets. A list of repair/maintenance topics displays.
  6. From the drop-down list, click Common Problems & Repairs. A PDF document opens which explains all about fixing a leaky tap, including tools needed and other useful and relevant faucet information.
