If you unable to find what you are looking for on our shelves, there are a number of things you can do:
If it is a title that the Library owns, Library staff will be happy to place a reserve on it for you. You can do this in person, by phone, or by email.
When your name comes up on the reserve list, you will be called and the item will be held for you for 5 days.
All circulating materials can have reserves placed on them, but one-week items (music, videos and magazines) will only be held for 2 days.
There is no charge for placing a reserve on any item - just remember to bring your library card with you if you want to place a reserve or pick up a book you have been called about.
If it is a title the Library does not own, and that you think might be of interest to other library users, you can make a suggestion that the Library purchases the title. Suggestion to Purchase forms are available to download in pdf format (144 KB).
If it is a title the Library does not own, and that you think will be of interest only to you, Library staff can try to borrow the book for you from another library in B.C. See our Inter-Library Loans page for more information.
